Prp related isuue
I have just received PRP treatment for my hair but the liquid I was injected with was of red colour whereas one of my doctor friend told me that it should be slight yellow. Is it okay? Should I keep getting my PRPs? Pls suggest.

The reddish hue may be due to slight contamination by the RBCs. Few PRP tubes come with a gel separator to avoid this.

A slight reddish hue of the PRP indicates some presence of Red Blood Cells, which might have been taken up by error while aspirating from the centrifuge tube. Unless there is a gross contamination with RBC , pale yellow PRP with a slight reddish hue is acceptable.

Slight reddish tinge is perfectly acceptable. You should not  be worried.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) should be yellow in colour. Reddish colour indicates not properly centrifuged.

Hello Usually during prp separation, there are chances of contamination of RBCs(Blood cells- Red) while taking Buffy coat which is considered as core of PRP and that can lead to red discoloration of PRP liquid. There won't be any major compromise in quality but only it can cause pain and irritation while injecting thats it
