Medicines take a minimum of 3-4 weeks to start acting. And if they don't help we usually increase them after every 3-4 weeks. So for e.g. A medicine started at 50 mg may be increased to 200 mg over 2-3 months. If it still doesn't work, it is changed. Sometimes this can mean it takes 3-4 months to get better. So if you take medicine for a short time and conclude that it doesn't work, you may need it longer. Follow up with your doctor is important. As for Schizophrenia, usually a person has some psychotic symptoms in it which you have not described. Your doctor will tell you what you suffer from.
Next Steps
Take medicine for a proper time period at a proper dosage. Discuss any problems with your doctor
