Why do indian urologists don't recommend 24 hour urine test for kidney stones???????????????????????

According to Indian guidelines it’s recommended in all chronic stone formers. I usually offer this test to most of these group if patients but many accept this and some don’t accept. Availability of labs doing proper 24 hours urine analysis from stone analysis point of view, are limited. One good lab is Uro lab in Ahmedabad is doing that as per standards. Rest of labs doing that as per need of nephrologists. Last but not the least is utility of results of this test in prevention of stone formation is helpful in very small subset of patients.
