Rabies infection
Dear Sir/Madam, yesterday's night a dog was sitting near me facing my right leg. The distance was like a (2.5ft). I have a open wound in the lower part(between knee and ankle) of my right leg. The wound was open at that time. The dog didn't bite, scratched, or licked my wound. And no contact of dog's saliva on my wound. I want to ask can I get rabies by any means? Like by air or other way? I washed the wound with soap like 6-7 times. Do I need to take vaccine? I'm really scared please help me. I have already taken 5 injection of rabies vaccine for a cat bite. That was a course of 5 injection started in third week of 19 May 2017 and lasted up to 16 June 2017.
