Rabies query
8 months ago my dog was not vaccinated and he had scratched me badly on my neck and the skin teared and I was able to see my underlying skin and bleeding was coming out. I didn't cleaned the wound and didn't took any vaccine even my dog was not vaccinated at that point of time as he was young puppy. But after few days he got vaccinated but I didn't took any vaccine. So will I get Rabies now as my dog scratched me when he wasn't vaccinated . And he didn't die within 10 days after scratching me as he had taken vaccine just few days after scratching me so I couldn't recognise if he was rabid. So will I get rabbies and was my dog rabid when he scratched me??

You will not get rabies for the previously mentioned episode but it’s better for you to take vaccinations as a preventive measure for future episodes
