My son of 4 years had white puss like discharge feom hsi penis and swelling and paina after urinating...he has been diagnosed with e colli bacteria and doctor has prescribed cefixime 100...5 ml two times daily for 10 days..
bwfore this he was given IV antibiotic for proteus mariballis bacteria for 10 days two times daily. He had similar symtpoms of diacharge, and swelling.
i want to ask that why is he getting such uti again and again in a short span of time.. is there something to worry.
nowadays there are so many cases of antibiotic resistance. since my child remains unwell with aomethig or the other what precautions should i take.

Consult a urologist.
Childhood UTI should be investigated for cause.
Few radiological tests like USG KUB&residual urine,micturating cystourethrography may be required to reach a diagnosis
