Seborrhic Dermatitis is a skin allergic response to a fungus. The modality of treatment depends on the severity of the allergy. If the prescribed treatment did not work revisit your dermatologist so a stronger medicine regimen can be tried. There are various options to treat seborrhic dermatitis and it can be controlled. As is in an allergy the duration of treatment could be long as it might take some time(months or even years) for your body to stop reacting to it but until then you will have to continue the treatment advised. Hence don't stop treatment without your dermatologist's approval. Hope this was helpful.
