My Boyfriend Got nail polish remover in his eye by mistake. He rinsed it out quite a bit with water and saline last night. He says he has no change in vision and we tried to take him to ER but the ladies at the front desk didn't think it was urgent enough for us to pay the ER costs and said it most likely just needs to keep using eye drops and saline to keep the eye irrigated. However I do want another opinion just to make sure

yes, its safer if you consult an ophthalmologist even if he is not having any symptoms. Any injury to the cornea and any retained foreign body has to be ruled out.
