My father facing reeling problem. It's what would be the problem ..is it permanent .. now he is on medication..but still the problem is severe once in a week or so .. we've visited a neuro surgeon and they asked ask to get the brain MRI ... they verified MRI .. there was a small issue .. and they did mention that my father need to use one medicine entire his life time .. that's what worries me .. and doctor also given one more tablet .. to use when there is heavy .. reeling sensation .. almost once in every 10 days .. my father feeling heavy reeling sensation .. here my question is whether the Tablets are decreasing the problem / or just masking the problem..
Please provide me advice .

Reeling sensation in the elderly can be suggestive of stroke or a cerebrovascular disease.
In such cases lifelong antiplatelet(drugs that prevent blood clotting) may be required.
Hence it's important to rule out stroke initially.
