Why dsoctor prescrib less power than read by autorefractometer? Autirefractometer showed -5.25 to my left eye and -5 to my right eye... but doc gave -4.25 and -4 to my left and right eye ....after wearing the specs its really diffcult for me... left eye is okay with -4.25 but my right seems to be in troulbe they gave-4 but its really less and right eye is getting blur and i cant ecant read

Auto refractometer power is not ultimate power , otherwise there will be no need of ophalmologist ,A R is just time saving device , Prescribed power is ,what is comfortable for your brain which is usually less than power given by auto refractometer .

usually autoref gives higher readings or you can say in subjective testing we usually prescribe minimum number in myopia for bcva.he has not doe wrong. however you can contact him and convey your problem.
