Replacement of stent
My dad had angioplasty 6 months ago and bure metal stent was inserted but he was not completely fine with now after six month he had an stress test now it shows there is 10 percent blockage in that stent and doctor is saying to have an other medico stent i want to ask two things first is it safe ? And second does only medication can cure it or not ? His age is 55m

Medicated stents have better results than bare stents. In case bare metal stents get blocked, medicated stents are needed. Based on the severity of the blockage, we should decide between medical management or repeat angioplasty. Usually blockages more than 70% definitely need stenting
