Hi. Treatment for confirmed club foot is begun 2- 3 days after birth. Usually it consists of gentle manipulation of the affected foot under guidance of an experienced Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon. Some cases need strapping or splinting. Very severe cases need surgery if not responding to manipulation after a period of around 6 months. Many of the times mild club foot is due to the abnormal position in mother's womb. This does not need any treatment. It becomes normal in few days to weeks.
