Rise in sugar level.
My husband got his sugar level checked and it was 161 at fasting and 377 post lunch.His age is 34.He did nt have it before.What should be my immediate step.Should I consult a diabetic specialist or get it rechecked??He was urinating more thn regular.His father did had diabetic history in his last months.His weight is around 99kg.

Considering the fact that your husband has most of the risk factors for diabetes, he appears to have developed diabetes. Now if he has any syptoms , such as thirst , passing urine excessively and being more hungry than usual , one test is enough for the diagnosis. If he does not have any symptoms, my suggestion is that he should have another fasting and PLBS test and also would recommend him to have further tests incuding HBA1c, Lipid profile, Liver function tests , CBP and kidney profile, etc Hope this helps
