Round patch of red itchy dry skin

Hi. I noticed a round patch of pink/red skin, slightly raised and sometimes itchy, 2 wks back. Mostly it's itchy wen my cloth brushes against it..It's having dry skin on it..The patch is abt 1 cm in diameter. I applied ketaconazole cream on it and it kinda helped a little. Am not sure what it is so I did not continue with the cream. I am also having round itchy dry skin at my public hair area, it's not raised or red..The ketaconazole cream is working fine to solve that issue. Since winter started my skin has been drying out badly but it happens every year till the climate changes to summer..Am not sure if this skin dryness is related to the patch.. Pls guide me on this issue. Thank u..
