My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 12 and now m 30..
is it necessary that the traces might pass into offspring if the mother had cancer...
there was no such history of cancer in our house earlier both from maternal and maternal side..also...do I need to go for any tests or scan..as m feeling nipple itching past a month...bt I have get that examined to which the expert said was normal

Breast cancer can be hereditary tooo in 10 % cases
Get yourself screened...
Start screening at 10 yr earlier that her age or 40 yrs which is earliest
Mammogram yearly and monthly breast self examination ..3 monthly doctor visit
