Scarring from abrasion
I felt down on the 8th Dec 2017 and substained abrasion on my right knees. Went to a doctor and get it dressed. Kept the wound closed for about 5 days till it has largely dried up. Been 10 days now and dry scabs are peeling off. I would like to know how do I treat this from now to prevent/lighten scarring. Many thanks!

Let the would heal completely and let skin grow back and the scab resolve away. They treatment for the scar and pigmentation can be initiated. You may send pictures of the same on practo direct. Warm regards, Dr Govind Suresh Mittal, Bengaluru
