Scraping of skin on Tongue
My mother had two tooth extraction last Sunday and during the procedure her tongue was scarped very badly. The tongue has now swelled up very badly and there is a formation white layer on top of it. Now she cannot eat even soft liquid food as anything coming in contact with affected area on the tongue burns. Please help.

Swelling will not subside , u need to take antibiotics and pain killers , along with local application of 0.1percent kenacort  and mucopain , before meals .
Next Steps
switch to cold and liquid diet and apply ice cubes . visit ur dentist

Don't panic. That's a huge swelling though. The blood supply of the mouth is plenty and usually wounds like this heals fast. Switch to cold diet. Apply ice cubes over it often. You can apply dologel/ mucopain topically- SOS. It will take 7-10 days time but it will heal. Donot touch with hand or tongue. The whitish layer mostly is the tongue coat
