I was in a car accident almost 6 months ago. 2 weeks after the accident I had surgery where 4 screws were placed in my calcaneus.
It is now 5 months after surgery.
I can walk, but slowly and with pain now. I can walk long distances and stand for prolonged periods. I can not run, and putting pressure my toes rather than my heel causes a great deal of pain.
Should I have my screws removed after 6 months, or should I leave them in?
