No fever or blood in Stool was not noticed since last 10 days. She is active. As per free consult through this app she was given ECONORM sachet (3days, twice a day) and Zn20 at 5th day during this period. BUT not a good result was found. She again starting semi liquid sticky typevstool from today. So I consult Dr. and he gave Oflomac-M and Sporit GG sachet. Should she given the antibiotic OFLOMAC-M? Would like to know more details.. How is her oral inake? How is frequency of urine? Are there any signs of dehydration? Dehydration can happen very slowly over time, or it can happen suddenly. Toddlers with an illness, especially stomach flu, should be monitored closely for signs of dehydration. The warning signs aren’t always obvious.
Next Steps
Don’t wait until your toddler is excessively thirsty. If they’re really thirsty, they may already be dehydrated. Instead, look out for these warning signs: 1.dry, cracked lips 2.dark-colored urine 3.little or no urine for eight hours 4.cold or dry skin 5.sunken eyes or sunken soft spot on the head (for babies) 6.excessive sleepiness 7.low energy levels 8.no tears when crying 9.extreme fussiness 10.fast breathing or heart rate In the most serious cases, your toddler can become delirious or unconscious. If you notice any of the above symptoms please seek medical assistance at the earliest. Fluids that contain salt (preferable) - Oral rehydration solution, salted drinks (e.g. salted rice water or salted yoghurt drink), vegetable or chicken soup with salt Fluids that do not contain salt(acceptable)- Plain water, water in which a cereal has been cooked (e.g. unsalted rice water), unsalted soup, yoghurt drinks without salt, green coconut water, weak unsweetened tea, unsweetened fresh fruit juice. Unsuitable home available fluids-Commercial carbonated beverages, commercial fruit juices, sweetened tea.Avoid juices and sugery liquids like cold drinks.
