Going by the description that you have mentioned it seems that the tooth that is troubling you is affected by Irreversible pulpitis and will require root canal treatment for complete resolution of your symptoms. Because you have already waited too much and also because medications are not going to cure this problem you should visit a dentist as soon as possible for the objective treatment which will alleviate the symptoms permanently. Medications can only provide temporary symptomatic relief but the pain is bound to come back again and that can even happen with a high intensity than the previous episode. Regards.
