Hello, pain could be because of cavity or infection to roots. visit a dentist and get it checked. get your X-rays done. if there is a cavity get it filled or if there is infection to roots get it treated.
If you are having a cavity then get it treated by going to a dentist, using medicines will subside the pain for a short duration only its not a permanent treatment.
Hello,
as you have said yourself its a large cavity you should have got it treated earlier. as cavity deepens it approaches living part of teeth that is pulp and starts paining. antibiotics wont help
Possibly there is infection in teeth due to deep cavity. X - ray is recommended for further diagnosis. Most likely you have to go for Root Canal Treatment to take out all infection from the teeth. Please visit dentist to have in depth checkup and diagnosis.
Hello Mam,
The permanent solution to this problem would be to visit an Endodontist and get your tooth checked. If the decay is deep, you may need a Root canal treatment.

Hi,Please visit a dentist to get the treatment done instead of taking antibiotics & colgate plax as this will give you temporary relief. The cavity in tooth might be deep & depending on the amount of tooth structure present it will require either tooth removal or root canal treatment.
Severe tooth ache can be because of neve damage. There is a possibility that you may need a root canal with the infected tooth.
Antibiotics and colgate Plax are not long term solutions.
Next Steps
please see a restorative dentist or endodontist at the earliest
