Severe back pain 8 month
Hi all, I need guidance for my medical condition as I am suffering from severe back pain from last 8 months. It's in lower back both side of muscles near to spine. Severe pain on upper back muscles as well. Stiffness n pain in love handles. I consulted to a orthopedic n neurologist couple of months back, I got spine screening and MRI done as well. It did not show anything specific to the doc...He said it is a muscle issue and my back muscles are weak... The pain has just got worse and I want to consult a doctor. Can you suggest which speciality doctor I should go to?

Hi You need few motor control exercises. Correct your posture. The curve of your lower back would be exaggerated. Also a weak abdominal muscle strength and tight muscles (Rectus Abdominis) in front of the thighs may exaggerated this condition. Relax your lower back!! Such pain may occur with overactive and guarded lower back. Exercises ● Strengthen your Abdominals. ● Relax lower back. ● Perform lower back movements called pelvic tilts. ● Stretch Rectus Abdominis. By touching heels to buttocks in prone position. ● Activate your Gluts. Tighten the buttocks and hold while lying on your stomach A complete and thorough check by a Spinal Physiotherapist would be more effective as the treatment plan would be more specific. Take care!! Next Steps
Try to flatten the curve on the back by improving the core muscle strength.
Health Tips
Never do exercises which include both leg raising in lying down position.
