Dandruff can be treated with lotions and shampoo (not commercial ones). Some people do have more oily scalp which cause visible flakes which we call dandruff. There are some other conditions also which can present like flaking of the scalp and have to be ruled out. Do not apply oil on scalp as it will increase the problem. Please contact me with photos through online consult option for proper examination diagnosis and treatment.,

This is body’s reaction towards skin micro flora Malassezia furfur( fungus ), in which excess skin scaling takes place. In order to curb the symptoms antifungal and anti inflammatory medicines can be taken . There are shampoos containing zinc pyrithione would also be used to control the symptoms. Disease is sometimes moderate to severe which would lead to hair fall. Do connect for online consultation and further information.
