Hi Derma roller does work to improve hair loss in androgenic alopecia. However minoxidil medicine has been made for application on normal skin not for skin after derma roller.  As the skin is wounded there may be undesirable side effects. Please remember these are medical treatments which wound the skin and when pursued without proper medical supervision, more problems like infection and / or scarring may occur.
