Hi mam...
There is no age limit for braces treatment...
Just go with orthodontic treatment....
Braces are available in many varieties...
**Metal braces
**ceramic braces
**lingual braces...
The choice will be based on your affordability
Health Tips
Dont delay the treatment..
Delaying the treatment will affect your dentl health
Yes if your bite is damaging your gums you should go for orthodontic correction. If you wait too long it will damage your gums further and make orthodontic treatment more difficult
There is no age limit for braces. If your teeth are in cross bite best treatment is to go for braces. Other alternatives can only be thought about after seeing condition of your teeth and x days.
But, as per my suggession, as advised go for braces.

Hello,
What your dentist has cautioned you about is right. In a deep bite there is trauma to the lower gums leading to its weakness ultimately ur teeth will get weak.
Best long term option would be to get ortho treatment done. Otherwise depending on the severity all ur lower teeth have to be root canal treated and cosmetic correction can be done however this again deoends on the case.
