Shoulder bone issue
Hi doctors.. Pls see attached x ray. My father is 65yrs with severe shoulder pain in joint and we have taken x ray as suggested by a nearby doctor. Now report shows no bone injury but OA changes noted. Pls advise is this dangerous and what are the solutions and precautions. Thanks in advance.

He is probably having Acromioclavicular joint subluxation with acromioclavicular arthritis . If he is having shoulder tip pain then probably this is the pain generator. You can get intrarticular depopred injection and ice pack application for the same. If this doesn't solve the problem, then you can arthroscopic acromioclavicular excision with bony debridement done for him.

He needs further evaluation regarding shoulder pain. X-rays are not clear. He needs further evaluation to see any cuff problem with arthritis. Consult shoulder surgeon near you. Opinion given by Dr Sivaraman, Shoulder and Elbow consultant
