Skin itching
Hello, there are red patches on my legs skin covered with small white scales and I used to keep scratching due to itching it causes bleeding. Are these symptoms of psoriasis? Is psoriasis genetically transferred? As my father have a psoriasis skin disease. Please guide me. Thank you.

Thanks for the query. You need to meet a good Dermatologist to have a proper diagnosis. Such presentations are seen in different diseases which can be either psoriasis or eczema. Only when the diagnosis is ascertained, proper treatment can be initiated. If it is eczema, an attempt to find the triggers has to be made or else it keeps recurring. Do not lose hope and the problem can be cured for sure. Hope it helps.
