Greetings - the skin itching andhange of colour coul be because of a fungal / bacterial infection. Yes, this is usually due to dampness in that area and you need to keep the area dry. See a qualified dermatologist - for adequate diagnosis and treatment. You can also use antifungal dusting powder that adsorbs excess moisture and prevents recurrences . Hope this helps. Warm regards
