Skin rashes red colour.
Hi doctor, I got skin rashes on my hands and legs starting Monday night after eating dinner. I first thought it was a food allergy, so I had a cetrizine and slept off. However, the rashes became more prominent in the morning. I applied an anti fungal cream over the spots, and it seemed to reduce during the day. However, in the night it resurfaced, especially around my wrists and hand area. I went to the emergency doctor at a nearby hospital. He gave me avil injection plus tablets and lacto calamine variant. However, next day it didn't help. I came to the conclusion that the anti fungal cream helped, and it's not an allergic reaction. Seems to me like it's similar to a jock itch, but it's not around my groin. Its around my hands and legs. I'm pretty physically active and have a good diet and hygienic too. Attaching photos. Please advise next steps. I do not have a fever or any other symptoms.

You are suffering from what Dermatologist call urticaria. Common causes are food allergy, infection or drugs taken for some condition. It presents with itching resulting in formation of red rashes which we call hives or wheals. Although in most cases cause remains unknown in spite of a thorough search. It can be treated with medicines so that you do not get any new hives. The treatment should be prolonged until it resolves which usually takes 1 to 6 months. Please contact me through online consult option for further details and treatment..
