Not feeling fresh after getting up, sleep initiation problems, concentration difficulties are symptoms of having clinical depression. If there are other symptoms like anger outburst, tearfulness, Guilty feelings, low self esteem, ideas of self harm etc. one need to consult a psychiatrist. Sleep hygiene is maintained by regular half an hour daily exercise, avoiding tea, coffee or other stimulants towards bedtime.
