The problem is study tension, irregular study timings. Also food habits may be the cause. Give her more vegetables, fruits everyday so that she overcomes the stress, get instant energy and stamina. These will fill the stomach and get digested quickly and give instant energy. Eating large qty at one time as full meals may disturb her routine.so give her small qty in instalments as 2-3 hrs once with fruits, milk, etc .rice, chapaati ,upma, poha, idlidosa anything can be taken but with more vegetables, and sprouts. Exercise as games, walking, gardening is good for refreshing.

Hi, the reason behind her day time drowsiness is her erratic sleep habit. I will tell you steps that she can follow to improve her drowsiness but this she should follow everyday consistently with out any fail life long, then she will never have sleeping issues in her life. Also she must understand the fact that good quality sleep is very important for her over all health.
Next Steps
1. Sleep and wake up at the same time, for example she wakes up at 8 am then she should wake up everyday at 8am, even though she might have slept late in the night. 2. Morning exercise, walk for 30 mins daily 5-6 days a week. 3. She should not do any activity in her room or on her bed. The only time she should go on the bed is at bed time. 4. No day time naps. 5. If she wants to take a nap then it should be between 1:30- 3:00 pm and only for 30-40 mins maximum not more than that. 6. No mobile phones, tv or any other screen viewing after 5 pm. 7. Dinner before 8 pm, avoid coffee, tea, or any caffeinated drinks after 5 pm. Avoid fatty, fried foods in dinner. It is best to consume simple vegetables that are easy to digest. 8. She should drink at least 2-3 litres of water as per her physical activity per day. Out of that maximum portion of water should be taken in the day time, after evening the quantity of water consumption should be kept low. 9. Maintain same timings for going to bed. And only go to bed when feeling very sleepy. 10. Read a book until feeling sleepy. Then darken the room, do not keep any lights open. If anytime she feels she is having difficulty to fall asleep, she should come out of the room, and again read a book in the sitting room until she feels sleepy. If she follows this sleep discipline, her sleep cycle will become regularised and she will never have a problem again.
