Hi all! I had a slip disc a month ago at L5 S1 going through physiotherapy. In your expert opinion if someone do exercises and meds religiously. How much time it will take to live a no pain life and live like a normal person. Some say months ,1.5 years 2 years. Please tell me by your experience or patient have to live with pain whole life?

It all depends what kind of exercise are u doing
Are u following office or home ergonomics
Ur posture and everything
How bad u had disc pain
Most of the patient they become better with time ,but it varies from patients to patients and the degree of disc problem
Once a patient of back pain is always a pt
If u don't take care of ur back by doing proper exercise and following ergonomics u may land up in frequent attack of pain ultimately may land up in surgery

Recovery depends on identifying the risk factors in your life, the lifestyle, contributing to the low back pain. How, how much you sit and how much laptop and mobile use?
Next Steps
you have to focus on sitting and working ergonomics for it to recover within a month. physiotherapy and exercises work on addressing the effect but the cause is your lifestyle.
Thank you for the history given
How ever the history is is not complete
How did you get it did you lift any heavy weights had a fall or was it gradual pain
What is the nature of your work
Did you have any weakness of the limb or toes especially great toe
