Firstly evaluation is required. If the pain is radiating type and follows a pattern from your back, buttock, back or side of thigh.. the problem could be a possible disc herniation or nerve impingement. But your leg pain and back pain are different, then the pain has more muscular origin.

It could be because of skip disc at the following levels L4 L 5 or L5 S 1 and there may b possibility your Left side nerve is also pressing which is causing pain .

Go for Hot formentation for 10 min and do extension exercises .
