Splint for tmj
I have overbite type misaligned teeth and tmj disorder. My doctors are treating tmj with at first with splint and then together with splint and braces. Now I think my bite is changing and becoming normal. But during this change of bite i feel..... my splint is very loose, my bite is changing abruptly that makes me feel very awkward and uncomfortable. Is splint helpful for my overjet type teeth to cure tmj problem? If yes then why it makes me feel so much uncomfortable? Because of this i always feel like stress, depressed etc. Please answer my questions and help to handle this situation. Please help.......thank you.

You have overjet or overbite? Cos initially you mentioned overbite and then in your question you mentioned overjet.. Anyway YES splints are useful for treating TMD. Because there is movement of the teeth the splint might loosen.
Next Steps
If its a splint with wire get it tightened from your dentist. If not visit dentist to make necessary correction in the splint.
Health Tips
Find the real cause for Stress and depression etc. Although splints and braces can cause discomfort, bear in mind it is temporary and its for the better final outcome.
