If you've noticed spots or changes in your cheek after the extraction of your wisdom teeth, it's important to have them evaluated by a dentist or oral healthcare professional. While it's good that you're not experiencing pain or bleeding, any unusual changes in your oral tissues should be examined to rule out any potential issues. Here are the next steps you should consider: Consult Your Dentist: Schedule an appointment with your dentist to have the spots in your cheek examined. They will be able to visually inspect the area and determine if further evaluation or treatment is needed. Clinical Examination: During the examination, your dentist will carefully inspect the spots and take note of their appearance, size, and any other relevant details. Biopsy: Depending on the appearance of the spots, your dentist might recommend a biopsy. A biopsy involves taking a small sample of the tissue for analysis in a laboratory. This is a common procedure to determine if the spots are benign or potentially concerning. Follow Professional Advice: Based on the examination and any necessary tests, your dentist will provide you with recommendations. This could include watchful waiting, further testing, or treatment, if needed. Oral Hygiene: In the meantime, continue to maintain good oral hygiene. Brush and floss regularly to keep your oral tissues healthy and clean. Avoid Irritation: Be cautious not to irritate the area by stretching your cheeks excessively or any other actions that could worsen the condition. Remember, only a dental professional can provide an accurate diagnosis and appropriate guidance based on a thorough examination. It's always better to address any concerns promptly to ensure your oral health.
