You will be glad to know that one can get rid of tartar from the comfort of home too! Removing tartar with baking soda - for an added teeth whitening and tartar fighting mixture, try shaking some baking soda onto a wet toothbrush and thoroughly scrubbing both teeth and gums. Leave the baking soda for 15 min before rinsing. White vinegar to remove tartar- start by mixing white vinegar in a glass of warm saltwater. This solution can be gargled once in a day.The mixture should be made by two tablespoons of white vinegar into a cup of warm water with dissolved salt. It also helps to kill unwanted bacteria and prevent infection. I hope this information might help you! Regards DR GURLEEN KAUR

Tartar cannot be cleaned properly and efficiently at home. If left like that, the gums will get more inflammed and eventually recede. You need to visit a dental office where you feel comfortable and get the tartar cleaned by the dentist as soon as possible. The stains appear normal. At least in the photograph provided they do not seem excessive or carious. But it is always better to get them checked ro rule out cavities.
Next Steps
Visit a dentist for cleaning and check up.
Health Tips
Make sure both you and the dentist are following all safety protocols required during the covid pandemic as cleaning is an aerosol generating procedure. However there are guidelines in place to do it safely so do not worry unnecessarily!
