So i was getting tested for chlamydia and Gon. 2 weeks after an interaction. before i took the test though i took azythromacin 500mg 1 a day for 4 days, the medical professional told me that the dosage was not enough to get rid of a bacteria if present but that it could also hide the bacteria from the test. i wanted to know if this was true. can a lower dosage mask a present bacteria

Yes low dose will mask and you will get resistance also.So continue it 500 OD and after getting result start another medicine according to result.Maintain hygiene and treatment should be give to your partner also.
