Stiffness pain back neck
Hi, from last 6-7 days I am experiencing mild pain in the back of the neck, the pain starts from below of the neck and travels through the whole scalp with a stabbing pain in the head. I am feeling discomfort and uneasiness with heaviness in whole head. Kindly suggest whether I have to consult an orthopedic doctor or a neurologist or some other specialist.

Hi there...i can understand your concern sudden appearance of neck pain like that could be due to muscle spasms, disc prolapse. You will need detailed clinical examination and further investigations. So kindly consult a neurologist for further evaluation. Conservatively try to take as much rest as possible. Sleep in supine position and take hot compresses over the part where it pains.
