Stomach issues !
Dear Sir , My baby is 2.5 yrs old and has got stomach issues since her birth . She is unable to spend her night without taking colicaid syrup around 3 ml . She remains constipated too . We have to insert dulcoflex suppository every alternate day to make her passs stool . Is long term use safe ?? Please advise Regards Rishika

Stomach ache with constipation can be due to worms in stomach.

Hi Rishika, constipation need long term medicine management along with diet.... Abdominal pain may be due to constipation... Use stool softener like lactulose or PEG liquid... Give plenty of liquid orally...

Giving Colicaid daily to stop stomachache is not the way to go. U have to treat the underlying  root cause which is constipation. Increase fibre intake n water intake n reduce milk n maida intake.  She will have to take long-term constipation medicine, diet-fluid management n retraining bowel movement for complete cure.
