Quad Clenches: Lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, Hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short Arcs: Lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight Leg Raise: Lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Just aaproach to a manual physiotherapist who can easily manipulate and mobilize your father's lumbosacral junction and hip joints along with that he /she needs to release few gluteal and lower back muscles .. For example...Q.lumborum, erector spinae, gleuts maximus, medius, minimus, piriformis, biceps femoris an tensor fascia latae . Dont waste your time yo an orthopedist in the name of arthritis ,disc prolaPSE or anythjng .. Even if it will bw there tbey cant do anything .so llz follkw what i said .
Next Steps
your father will be alright in 10_15 days max ..
Health Tips
dont sit witj cross leg for few weeks till ykur treatment continues ..plz walk as much as possble ..Nd if u can go to a swinming pool and there if u walk in the water ..it will be the best preventive neasures u can ever imagined

These symptoms could.point to the beginnings of either start of a problem in your spine or arthritis of the hips. There are a lot of things to look at in the history and also a detailed examination is necessary to work out where the problem is. Please see an Orthopaedic Surgeon for examination and any investigations as appropriate. Hope this helps. Dr Vinu Raj Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon MBBS MRCS FRCS(Trauma&Orth)
