Hello
Proper history and Clinical evaluation is reqd so kindly post a picture if possible.you need to visit the dentist for proper diagnosis and treatment. Also is the swelling associated with any itching or redness(these are signs of allergic reaction)?Do u have lower teeth infection and pain (these are signs of space infection)?kindly post the details for further help.
You haven't mentioned if it has happened previously . Most of the tongue swellings are due to allergy and also can be caused due to certain medications . Kindly keep yourselves hydrated and go to ER as soon as possible and you may require steroids and anti allergic medications . Consult with a physician to find out the cause that triggered it .
