Homoeopathic medicine shows great result in Diabetic pt. Diabetes can lead to Kidney issue, and low filteration rate i.e compromised kidney function can lead to swelling over your ankles. Treatment of your diabetes i.e improving your high sugar level would remove the cause of decrease in functions of kidney. But overall casetaking is needed for the same. Need to have look over your current kidney function test as well as diabetic status.

I would advice you to visit the nearest ER and get evaluated and undergo further investigations to rule out any underlying causes for it. Diabetes can affect the kidneys, eyes and other nerves
