Swelling in feet
Hi Doctors, My mom is having swelling in her feet since a week. We have done blood tests and xray of waist and there is increase in TSH level and cholestrol. She is having slight pain as well in her leg and also in swelled area of feet on pressing. She is taking medication of TSH since a week. Also we have did KFT, LFT, Hba1c, Glucose, Sugar, Urine ... all came normal. What could be possible cause nd my next step should be ? Thanks in advance !! LIFE SAVERS

Hi, the swelling could be because of the hypothyroidism itself. Other causes u hav to rule out are Cushings and heart failure. So pls do a 2d echo and cortisol levels.

Hi Causes for swelling of feet are many. I see urine shows no protein. What is her creatinine ? If KFT is normal too it is unlikely swelling related to kidneys.. May investigate her heart, liver and medication review.
