Swelling in leg
I fell down on my chest and knees as I got slipped from cement floor. After 3 days my leg started swelling fro the knees till toes. When i consulted a physician, gee suggested few antibiotics and also removed infection through syringe ane asked me to go through this process for every 4 days until infection disappears. And also suggested ultrasound to understand the infeted area and the spread of it. They took some culture of the infection which shows bacteria not present. I am 61 yrs old thyroid (recently detected) and BP patient. What is the cause of this infection? Is it dangerous if it is ignored? Who looks into this case, general physician or orthopedic?

Good morning. Please get a XRay done of the leg and also consult a orthopedic for treatment. As I don’t know exact place from where has he taken the pus out with syringe I cannot comment further. Don’t ignore as it may lead to serious implications
