Consult with a Physiotherapist who can assess the injury and the dysfunctions. Since alignment has changed the finger may need suitable splinting. As a home remedy you may try overnight dressing of the injured part with well stirred glycerine magnesium sulphate paste and guaze rolls. Immersion in ice water with ice cubes can help in reducing the soreness and swelling. Once healed you may use a finger exerciser and therapy putty to train yourself for regaining strength and dexterity.
