Pus coming out of gums is a sign of infection. Is this in relation to same tooth which got RCT done 8 yrs back? If yes the tooth needs to be evaluated for ReRCT. If it's another tooth it still needs to be diagnosed and treated accordingly. After RCT usually we advice cap/crown over the treated tooth, and if that's not done it could be the reason why it got destroyed.
Next Steps
Visit a dentist and get it treated asap. Once the treatment is started your pain will be relieved immediately. You will have to take the prescribed medications for few days to completely treat the infection.
Health Tips
Avoid any hot and spicy foodstuffs until you start with your treatment.
