Swollen hand after anethsia injectiom
Last wed had d n c surgery and had gt anethesia injection near the wrist due to which my above hand region have become swollen the nerve have become swollen n stiff cant strech my hand advice

There are few reasons for swollen wrist , hand and fore arm , thrombophlebitis and fluid infused outside the vein because of many times cannula slips outside the vein ,

It looks like inflammation of the vein due the IV cannula ... Do a cold pack application ... If symptoms persist, do consult for the same ...

Mostly it will be trivial. But sometimes rarely, IV cannula can result in inflammation of the nerve (thrombophlebitis) and clot thrombosis. The treatment is as follows: 1) keep arm elevated on pillow 2) apply ice wrapped in cloth 3) apply THROMBOPHOBE OINTMENT to swollen area thrice a day 4) Tab. Combiflam one tablet, thrice a day after food

Please don't worry. Stay calm. Apply lots of ice. Keep the hand elevated. Don't allow it to gravitate. Use these medicines and ointment T. Zerodol-SP twice a day after food for 5 days T. Pan-D twice a day before food for 5 days Thrombophob ointment for external application
