Swollen lymph nodes in posterior traingle and groin region for 6 months. Size is not Increasing. No any other symtoms. Done fnac two times, both came reactive hyperplaisa. Going for biopsy. Worried about lymphoma only!!!

Thanks for your question.Firstly if lymph node is more than 1cm only then evaluation is needed if persisting even after oral antibiotic.But USG can itself says or predicts many signs of diseases eg whether central necrosis is there, whether architecture is present or not whether calcification is there or not and etc etc...But I think you are under treatment of any doctor who is clinically examined you and following up and adviced this. My suggestion is NHL is not extremely common disease and why you are biased about lymphomas (is there any family history) but while you are already prepared for this better to go for GENE Xpert MTB RIF simultaneously with the same and there should be provision for immunohistochemistry with the same excision biopsy sample.All the best.
