Taking vymada 50 mg
My mother in law had a heart attack in last month. She got anioplasty on 1st june. But she is having swelling in her right leg from where angiography was done. She is not able to walk due to swelling and pain. Bleeding was occured through right leg after angioplsty. She got very weak due to blood loss. Doctor prescribed her medicines ticus, metolar, dytor and ecosprine. One more medicine was prescribed- Vymada 50 to increase pumping of heart. Can we discontinue that medicine after feeling better or after a month. Because we dont want her to depend on that medicine. And can we take that medicine once a day instead of twice a day. Or on alternate day?

Hello, Vymada should not be stopped. And should be taken twice a day daily. There is no dependence on the medicine. I sincerely suggest do not focus on reducing or stopping her medicines. After heart attack the pumping does not improve immediately. It takes many days to recover. Let your cardiologist decide which medicines to continue or reduces at subsequent follow ups and Echos. Till then continue same medicines as it is. Take care
