Tb lymph nodes?
Past h/o cervical lymph node tb at the age of around age of 10yrs-taken full 6 month course of ATT..now doing MBBS internship in government hospital.had urti and chicken pox 1.5 months ago.taken valacyclovir and cefixime 5days course.b/l retroauricular lymphnode were enlarged AT THAT TIME.after 1.5months present day-felt same nodes enlarged since 8days.not sure wethere they were as it is since chickenpox or enlarged again.though Rt. is more in size than Lt. Afraid of painful fnac and costlyElisa

Considering the previous history of TB lymph nodes and also considering the immune suppression during a viral illness, it could be a simple reactive node in the post auricular region. U can observe the node for any increase in size or pain in the node. If there is increase then there will be no alternative but to go for fnac or biopsy... Till then just keep a watch on the size. Since you are a doctor I am suggesting a watchful observation before fnac. For a normal person it would be fnac for observation.
